Kensington Hospital is the second earliest Healthcare facility in the City of Philly. It was founded in 1887 by Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly, a worldwide renowned specialist, as well as clinical pioneer. The Kelly forceps were named for Dr. Kelly as a result of his efficiency of abdominal surgeries widely believed to be difficult at the time.
